The Ad Hoc Coalition for Women's Equality and Human Rights came together in 2006 to pressure the federal government and the opposition to commit to concrete and meaningful measures to advance women’s equality in Canada. 
 
Adoption Council of Canada (ACC) www.adoption.ca
The Adoption Council of Canada (ACC) is the umbrella organization for adoption in Canada. The ACC raises public awareness of adoption, promotes placement of waiting children and stresses the importance of post-adoption services. 
 
Campaign 2000  www.campaign2000.ca
Campaign 2000 is a non-partisan coalition of 19 national partners and a Canada-wide network of 33 community partners who are committed to securing the implementation of the 1989 federal all-party resolution "to seek to achieve the goal of eliminating poverty among Canadian children by the year 2000". 
 
Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange (CATIE) www.catie.ca
CATIE is a national, not-for-profit charity committed to improving the health and quality of life of all people living with HIV/AIDS in Canada by providing accessible, accurate, unbiased and timely treatment information to people living with HIV/AIDS and their caregiver, health care providers and service organizations.

Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health www.camimh.ca
The Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) calls for significantly increased attention to mental illness and mental health promotion at all levels of Canadian society and aims to put mental illness and mental health on the national health and social policy agendas.
Created in October 1998, the fifteen member organizations of the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) represent all elements of the mental health continuum. Consumers and their families, researchers, and all manner of practitioners including physicians, psychologists and psychiatric nurses, are supporters of the Alliance and its messages. Together, these organizations constitute a vibrant network of national, provincial and local organizations that stretch from coast to coast.

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives is a national, independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with local, national and international issues of social and economic justice. Founded in 1980, the CCPA is one of Canada's leading progressive voices in public policy debates. The Centre offers analysis and policy ideas to the media, general public, social justice and labour organizations, academia and government. The CCPA produces research studies, policy briefs, books, editorials and commentary, and other publications.
 
Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children www.rightsofchildren.ca/
The Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children (CCRC) brings together Canadian organizations and individuals who are concerned about the rights of children. The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is the guiding framework for all activities of the coalition. 
 
Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health www.ccsmh.ca/
Prompted by concern about inadequate services for the residents of long-term care facilities, a national symposium was held in April 28, 2002 with the goal of "improving the mental health of the elderly in long term care through education, advocacy and collaboration". A coalition was formed with the purpose to improve the mental health of seniors through a coordinated national strategy. The coalition's first priority is to focus on the unmet needs of seniors living in long-term care facilities. 

Canadian Collaborative Mental Health Initiative (CCMHI)  www.ccmhi.ca
CCMHI developed research and tools for improving mental health care in the primary health care setting through interdisciplinary collaboration, including collaboration among health care providers, consumers and caregivers. It is a consortium of twelve Canadian organizations representing community services, consumers, families and caregivers, self-help groups, dietitians, physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers.  Update from CASW Coalition Representative 
 
Canadian Council on Social Development www.ccsd.ca
The mission of CCSD, a non-profit, non-governmental organization, is to develop and promote social policies that are inspired by social justice and equality. CCSD meets its mission through research, consultation, public education and advocacy. Poverty, social inclusion, disability, cultural diversity, child well-being, employment and housing are some of the issues that CCSD focuses on. 
 
Canadian Mental Health Support Network www.cma.ca/cmhsn
CASW joined eleven organizations in the health care community to create the Canadian Mental Health Support Network (CMHSN).  CMHSN came into being from a concern about the impact on Canadians of the tragic event that occurred in the USA September 11, 2001. Their Website contains resources for professionals and the public. A working group continues to meet and develop further resources for parents, caregivers and professionals. 

Canadian Public Health Association - National Literacy and Health Program www.cpha.ca
The CPHA's National Literacy and Health Program promotes awareness among health professionals of the links between literacy and health. People with low literacy skills may not understand what health professionals tell them. They may not be able to read health information. Some may not use health services, except in an emergency. The National Literacy and Health Program is working in partnership with national health associations to raise awareness about literacy and health.

The Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada (CCAAC) is dedicated to promoting a publicly funded, inclusive, qualtity, non-profit child care system.

Coalition on Community Safety, Health and Well-being 
The Coalition on Community Safety, Health and Well-being will seek broad support for crime prevention through social development as an approach to ensuring safe, healthy communities. 

Dignity for All: The Campaign for a Poverty-Free Canada www.dignityforall.ca/en
The Dignity for All Campaign calls for vigorous and sustained action by the federal government to combat the structural causes of poverty in Canada. The coalition, led by Canada Without Poverty and Citizens for Public Justice are joined by diverse partners in mobilizing the multi-year, multi-partner, non-partisan campaign, Dignity for All: The Campaign for a Poverty-Free Canada.

G7 (Group of 7 Health Professions)   
G7 is a group of national health care professional associations who formed a partnership to work collaboratively on health initiatives with a view to broadening policy initiatives beyond traditional health care providers. Along with the CASW, members of the G7 include the Canadian Association of Speech‐Language Pathologists and Audiologists, Canadian Pharmacists Association, Canadian Occupational Therapy Association, Canadian Psychologists Association, Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and Dietitians of Canada.

HEAL Action Lobby www.healthactionlobby.ca/
The Health Action Lobby (HEAL) is concerned about the direction and sustainability of the health care system and public policy in Canada. It is seeking to understand better the potential impact that changes to intergovernmental transfers will have on the health care delivery system, health insurance programs and on the health of Canadians.

Mental Health Table for Regulated Health Professionals  
The Mental Health Table for Regulated Health Professionals is a grouping of national health professional organizations with the purpose of identifying problems common to health professional communities, to undertake actions on key strategies to transform mental health care delivery, and to respond collectively to and work collaboratively with the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

The Children's Alliance provides a forum for a group of national organizations with an interest in the well-being of children. The group aims to work co-operatively, to devise strategies to promote a national children's agenda, and to respond to concerns and issues affecting children and their families. 

National Coalition on Housing and Homelessness www.povnet.org
The mission of the National Coalition on Housing and Homelessness is to support a new dedicated federal social housing program. This mission is based on the belief that it is time for the federal government to take action to deliver housing that low income Canadians can afford.  
 
National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly (N.I.C.E) www.nicenet.ca
N.I.C.E. is a national network of researchers and practitioners involved in the care of older adults that is mandated to disseminate research and best practice knowledge amongst interdisciplinary practitioners and academia regarding the care to the elderly.

Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network (PREVNET) www.prevnet.ca
PREVNET is a national partnership of university researchers and national non-governmental organizations that is mandated to create socio-cultural change in Canada by reducing the negative use of power and aggression in relationships. PREVNET is interested in creating a national strategy to address bullying problems and promote healthy relationships among children.
 
Quality End-of-Life Care Coalition 
The Quality End-of-Life Care Coalition supports implementation of the June 2000 Senate report Quality End-of-Life Care: The Right of Every Canadian.  The Coalition represents a broad cross-section of stakeholders who wish to be part of the process of creating a national strategy for end-of-life care and who have a great deal to contribute on behalf of the millions of Canadians they represent.

The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association has been designated as its secretariat.
