National Social Work Month
In March of each year, social workers throughout the country celebrate National Social Work Month (NSWM) in recognition of the contributions of social workers to society. The theme adopted by the CASW Board for the 2016 National Social Work Month celebrations is Social Work: Profession of Choice.
National Social Work Month gives all social workers in Canada an occasion to celebrate our social ideals and values.

Note: CASW and it's provincial/territorial social work organizations decide which week in March suits them best and social workers become involved in activities that highlight the theme for that year and that promote the profession.
