Embracing Hope: A Global Perspective on Recovery and Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Addiction and mental health issues remain significant challenges in Canada and around the world. While in Canada, national campaigns have reduced stigma, the implementation of evidence-based services has not kept pace with demand, leaving the service system in crisis.
Despite policy endorsements for recovery-oriented practices, many providers struggle with practical implementation. The WAPR Congress and the Canadian Recovery Conference aim to address this by promoting the use of existing tools and policies. WAPR 2025 is the perfect chance to network with psychiatrists, doctors, mental health professionals, social workers, occupational therapists, patients and family members. 1,000 participants are expected to attend from around the world.
