
The Manitoba College of Social Workers (MCSW) and the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) are pleased to announce Clemene Hornbrook, BSW, RSW, as the Manitoba recipient of the 2022 CASW Distinguished Service Award.
As the Executive Director of Peguis Child & Family Services for the past 12 years, Clemene has played an instrumental role in strategically and skillfully leading the development and implementation of autonomous child welfare legislation for Peguis First Nation, Honouring our Children, Families and Nation Act.
An innovative and forward thinker, Clemene has demonstrated tireless commitment to the children, families and community of Peguis. Her dedication to the integrity, inherent rights, values, customs and practices of those in the community has inspired others to follow Clemene in bringing to life the true meaning of Truth and Reconciliation.
