
Kimberley Hagan BA, MSW, RSW is a Clinical Social Worker and Manager of the Department of Social Work at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown. Prince Edward Island. She has over twenty-five years of experience in leading and guiding complex cases and situations within an Interdisciplinary environment. She is responsive to the needs of seniors, youth, children, families and the health care organization from a person-centered approach. Kimberley is strong leader with a motivational style that coaches others towards achievements.
Kimberley also has a private practice where she works with adolescents, adults and families from a strength-based approach focusing primarily on issues of anxiety, loss, grief, coping strategies and burnout.
She is a member of the Health PEI Critical Incident Stress Debriefing group and has served as Board Member of the Atlantic Provinces Pediatric Hematology Oncology group, Chair of the Psycho-social committee for the Atlantic Provinces Hematology Oncology group, and as a member of the Health PEI Social Work Recruitment committee.
Kimberley has been Chair of the Prince Edward Island Social Work Registration Board, Vice Chair of the Prince Edward Island Social Work Registration Board, Board Member of the Prince Edward Island Social Work Registration Board, Chair of the Investigations Committee for the Prince Edward Island Social Work Registration Board, Secretary of the Prince Edward Island Association of Social Workers, and Board Member of the Prince Edward Island Association of Social Workers.
She has received the Dr. J.H O’Hanley Award for Excellence for the Care of Children and Families and has been an invited guest speaker regionally and internationally on the issues of Coping with Challenging Behaviours, Loss and Grief.
Kimberley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and a Master of Social Work in Individuals, Families and Groups from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario Kimberley has focused her career in the health sector. She feels her greatest professional accomplishment has been the honor of joining patients and families on their journeys during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Kimberley loves reading and spending time at the beach in PEI and the Caribbean.
She is proud a social worker, wife to Joey and mother to her 2 adult sons, Patrick and Riley.
