CASW Announces Winner of ‘Name that Theme’ Contest
The Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) is pleased to announce that the Promotion of the Profession Committee of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Social Workers (NLASW) are the contest winners of the “Name that Theme’ for the 2012 National Social Work Month celebrations in March.
The winning entry and theme adopted by the CASW Board for the 2012 National Social Work Month celebrations is:
Social Workers: Building Relationships, Strengthening Communities, Partnering for Change
“CASW received nearly 150 group and individual entries for this highly successful contest” stated CASW President, Morel Caissie. “The quality of entries received made the decision very difficult and on behalf of the CASW Board, I thank all entrants for taking the time to contribute the contest as it was a solid demonstration of the passion social workers have for the profession.”
Besides having the honour of setting the theme for 2012 National Social Work Month celebrations, the NLASW Promotion of the Profession Committee will also receive up to $500 of sponsorship for continuing education.
