Description

This webinar is designed for service providers working with youth who may be at risk of encountering harmful content in digital spaces, including gaming and gaming-adjacent spaces. You will build your awareness of trends within the online ecosystem, how youth interact with it, and how it shapes offline behaviour. You will also learn about the vulnerability factors that may increase a young person’s risk of exploitation into harmful groups and how to have productive conversations with young people about their online habits.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand trends and current landscape on the online world and its impact on children and youth, as well as service delivery
  • Gain knowledge about evidence-based (and practice based) interventions
  • Feel more confident about talking to young people about online spaces
  • Recognize warning signs of online exploitation and recruitment into extremist groups
