Over the past nine incredible years, CASW members have advocated for social workers to be included in the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness program for those working in rural and remote communities.
As of December 31, 2025, social workers are now eligible for up to $30,000 in federal loan forgiveness when working in qualifying communities! To learn more about program roll-out and eligibility, click here.
